Accessibility Statement

Marie-Luise Steiner is committed to making this website accessible in line with the national legislation implementing the European Directive EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 — conformance level AA.

1. Conformance status

This website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Measures taken include:

• Semantic HTML (main, section, nav, article, figure) and a clear heading hierarchy (h1 → h2 → h3).
• Sufficient colour contrast (at least 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
• Visible gold focus indicator on all interactive elements.
• “Skip to content” link as the first tabbable element.
• Alt text for all informative images; decorative images are marked aria-hidden.
• Page language marked via lang attributes (German / English).
• prefers-reduced-motion is respected — all motion is disabled for users who have set this preference.
• Keyboard-operable forms with properly associated labels.
